However my guess is that there's simply no credit on your phone. If you've stuck with Asda Mobile, as they've changed from using EE's masts to using those of Vodafone, any credit you had should have been preserved. However if you've actually switched across to Vodafone completely (using a Vodafone SIM instead of an Asda Mobile one), while your phone number will have been ported across, your credit won't have been. (You always lose all of your existing credit when changing from one service provider to a different one).
If you're still with Asda Mobile (but now using Vodafone's masts, instead of EE's), phone 2732 to get the problem sorted out. That number should work from your mobile phone, even if you've got no credit on it. Alternatively though, you can call free of charge from any phone on 0800 079 2732.
If you've fully gone over to Vodafone, call 191 from your mobile or 0333 304 0191 from any other phone (with calls being charged at the same rate from that phone as 01 or 02 numbers are).
