De Niro or Pacino!

who do u think is the better actor? Im confused because they both have made classic films. scarface, taxi etc. what do u lot reckon?

This is a highly subjective question - very hard to quantify talent and compare. It really comes down to preferences for films or personalities - I prefer De Niro because I've enjoyed more of his work, but i couldn't say he's a better actor, I just don't know enough about it to make an informed judgement.

i prefer pacino ! I think de niro is typecast too often in gangster/crime films.

De Niro, De Niro, De Niro. I think Pacino is too overated, i really don't see whats so good about him, i don't think he has much range and doesnt show much personality!

I'm not a massive DeNiro fan, but I can name 10 great films featuring DeNiro:

Jackie Brown - Cape Fear - Ronin - Frankenstein - Raging Bull - Taxi Driver - Deer Hunter - Meet the Parents - Godfather (p2) - Once Upon a Time in Amerca - Heat (ok, 11).....

Can only think of a few Pacino ones. Therefore DeNiro is the better actor (or is it that he goes for the better scripts).

I'd sat Pacino..going on quality not quantity of films. Loved him in And justice for all, Scarecrow, Dog day afternoon, Frankie and Johnny and Scent of a woman. Although thought De Niro was excellent in Flawless for a change.
