Leggings To A Wedding Reception?

My sister and I have been invited to nephews evening wedding reception.

Discussing our outfits she's planning to wear a sparkly top but black leggings on the bottom.

I don't really think leggings are appropriate but she insists the evening reception is the 'party' end of things so it's ok.

I know. It's nothing to do with me and there is no right or wrong I suppose, but I know I can rely on my AB friends to give me a range of opinions.

Definitely a no no!!! I would not wear that outfit to the church, maybe she can get changed later in the evening.

I would imagine that as it is your nephew's wedding it will be a young generation 'do'. Probably anything goes.

Hopkirk is correct.......leggings should be against the law.

Leggings are bad enough for ordinary wear, but A WEDDING/RECEPTION.

If you want to appear as a "down market chav who drinks pints of beer and it is that "standard of clientele".......then fine.

Don't wear them if they don't suit you, hopkirk... I don't like them either personally, but it's up to her what she wants to wear.

I practically live in leggings and tunics and have found an equally comfortable outfit I will be wearing to an evening summer wedding with simple, but striking accessories. (Even the sleeveless tank is flattering to my surprise, but I would consider adding a sleevey, if necessary.)
