1. I'm feeling much better than I was a fortnight ago and I am not needing to take pain relief during the day now.
2. Apart from a short, sharp hailstorm earlier, it's been mostly sunny today.
3. I'm going to lie in a hot bath shortly and relax and pamper.
4. Despite some tough challenges over the last year, both personally and professionally, I still have my sanity.
5. I've lost 12lbs in weight since I came out of hospital without even trying.

What are your reasons to be cheerful?

I hope you're pleased with the new kitchen, Tiggs. Happy birthday to little Tiggs.

What's an oxygen trampoline?
Escoffier will be turning in his grave, Lady CG. I still haven't perfected my cheats version so I am happy, but once I am I'll post it.
Given that Rossini wrote The William Tell Overture, does that mean that you have to put Tournedo Rossini on top someone's head an fire arrows at them?

>>> What's an oxygen trampoline?

My guess, LCG, is that it refers to kids' parties run by Oxygen Freejumping Trampoline Parks:

Still above ground.
Not yet been banned from AB
Just ate chicken & chips
Not yet been banned from Facebook
About to become a grandfather
Not yet been banned from Whassap

t'internets a great place...
I've just thought of another reason for me to be cheerful! It's Eurovision Song Contest week!

I really enjoyed the first semi-final last night and I'm looking forward very much to the second one tomorrow. Then it's the big final on Saturday evening! Yay!

Yes, I know I'm sad - but at least I'm cheerful at the same time ;-)
Thanks, LCG :o)

Yes, Chris, it's an indoor trampoline park.
Off to Teignmouth on Monday. Vow to not discuss the weather, it is what it is!
Tournedos Rossini take me back many years!
Apart from a bit of rain on Monday itself, Zylaphone, the forecast for Teignmouth is looking really quite good for next week, with plenty of sunshine, reasonably warm temperatures and just a light southerly breeze:

Enjoy your trip!
Chris - thanks for that, looking forward to it even more. Staying at the Riviera Apartments ,terrific views 3 wrap around
Had good news from opthalmic surgeon today. a) Recent cataract op. has been very successful and b) the glaucoma pressures have gone way down as a result.

He's a very happy chappie (I'm also very, very happy) and wants to do the other eye (cataracts, but worse) a.s.a.p.. Reckons that this could completely sort out the glaucoma. This is a very, very good reason to be happy. :)
Jourdain2- pleased for you. I had a similar procedure. All is well. Had laser in the other eye
An Hyacinth Bucket/Bouquet has moved into my neighborhood.
