Please accept my apologies for not answering in person earlier; I've only just seen this thread.

However I will now add that I remain as pleased with my new phone now as I was when I posted on the thread that Mamya has linked to.

yes i bought the same phone, it should be here in a few days, the first thing i will do is go round to EE shop and ask them for help to get it working.

i really will Barry, i have hardly any tech savvy. i need to make sure that the sim card in the old phone goes in the new one, and that all my data gets transferred to the new mobile. something i am not familiar with.

If the new 'phone takes a smaller SIM than the old one, it will need to be trimmed but I'm not sure the EE shop would do that for you.

You probably automatically back most things to Google anyway - as soon as you log in to your Google account on the new phone everything will be accessible.

If it is smaller it will probably 'pop out' of your sim card - they tend to be several sizes in one these days.

Your new phone uses a nano size sim card. What model is the old one?

they did tell me in the shop they would help, if i bought a new phone..
as i am with EE on my sim only contract and with broadband, landline too.

As both phones are Galaxy Switch app will make transferring everything a doddle. Your old phone uses a micro sim card which is bigger than the one for the new phone.
Open the sim tray now and have a look at it. If you can see that the gold bit (the bit that holds all the info) can 'pop out' of its surround then that will be easy to do when the new phone arrives - don't do it yet!
If you can see that the card is a solid piece phone EE now and ask them to send you a new nano card with your old phone number. That shouldn't be a problem.
