What's the worst examples of packaging excess?
Here's a few for starters:
- to take a packet of cigarettes from a 200 carton you have to remove: plastic film, cardboard box, more plastic film, open cardboard packet, remove foil. Thats ignoring the paper round the baccy
- bottled water: 1L of water = 0.1p / plastic bottle = 2p. Thats 20 x the cost - I thought I'd bought water but actually bought a plastic bottle and got the water practically for free. Oops sorry, forgot - I bought into a lifestyle!
- 12 bag multipack of crisps. 12 plastic bags of fresh air in one large bag of fresh air = 5p. Total potatoes content about 2 medium potatoes = <1p. Obesity comes free...
Thank goodness houses don't come in boxes!

I liked the Czech way of life when I lived out there a few yrs ago- you took your eggs home in a paper bag and supplied your own container for the fresh coffee grains that you ground up yourself in a little machine in the shop.
