Mouse Problem

Have wireless mouse and the arrow has disappeared. Have done everything I can think of. Changed batteries and it lights up when on and the scrolled and pressed but no arrow. Any help appreciated.

Laptop or desktop? (It does make a difference)

That happened to me, take out the little button connected to the mouse and insert it again.

Worth a shot - turn the mouse off & remove the dongle. Now replace the dongle (in a different USB slot if possible) & turn the mouse on.

A missing mouse cursor is probably more likely to be to do with a fault with Windows than it is with your mouse. If you've got a wired mouse hiding away in a drawer (as many people have after switching to a wireless mouse), dig it out to see if it will work. If it does, you'll know that the problem rests with your wireless mouse; if it doesn't the problem is with Windows.

If you've not got a wired mouse about the place, try to borrow one from a friend, neighbour or colleague. If all else fails, nip down to Asda and but one for £4:

(It's always a good idea to have a spare mouse handy anyway. I've got several of them).
