lip gloss on a carpet

My pup went on a chewing spree when I was out buying her dinner and managed to burst my tube of orange lipgloss all over my biscuit-coloured carpet. I haven't touched it yet, but only because I've no idea to get it out! The problem is, it's all gooey and has an almost waterproof texture... anyone got any ideas?? Thanks in advance!

you could try makeup remover or a babywipe. if that doesnt work try a carpet shampoo.
