How Quickly Can You Catch A Virus?
20 Answers
I haven't had a cold, cough etc for years and have been following the rules as far as the pandemic is concerned, but yesterday I had a dental appointment, the first one in years and last night I could feel a tickle in my throat then this morning my throat is really sore, I keep going hot, and my head is banging.
The last people I saw was last Sunday when my 2 young granddaughters were round.
One had a chest infection, the other a bad cold.
Does it take days for a cold/virus to develop, or is it possible I could have picked it up yesterday?

In the past I have often got a cold sore after a trip to the dentist but never felt the way I feel today. I don't mind the feeling of a cold, it's this banging headache I have with it for which I'm taking paracetamol.
