Do You Think Youtube Will Ever Shutdown?

Right now, it is a very popular website and somehow it can handle hours of content uploaded to the site per minute. A regular website would have already been crashed by that. But is Youtube ever going to shutdown? Either by too much storage or because of a better alternative that will make Youtube primitive.

It's owned by Google, a very wealthy company. If it has any storage problems, they will easily sort it.

Who, a few years ago, would have thought that MySpace would become almost (if not totally) unknown to many internet users? (It was the largest social networking site in the world from 2005 to 2008). The site appeared to be 'all powerful' but it was soon almost totally eclipsed by Facebook.

YouTube might be around for quite a while yet though, as
(a) it's owned by the mighty Google ; and
(b) it's constantly evolving in what it does, rather than remaining static.

However parts of YouTube's market might be eaten into by rival sites, with Twitch in particular grabbing a larger share of live streaming traffic.

I remember when MySpace was the biggest site of them all, before the dark days of Twitter and Facebook.

I don't mind YouTube at all, but it will close down one day. Everything has it's lifespan.

Way too many advertisements. Used to be ok until google got hold of it.

the problem I have with that is it keeps closing me out of YouTube & then when I re-enter it usually is ok but not always then, it's a maddening ploy to get me to pay.
