bouchard may well be right as he was an engineer
Still puzzling over word play
19 Uniform-u
Check-ch
Food supply-board
Therefore Bouchard, as stated, uch in board
Good one cashier- so the boxes means the BOARD 'boxes in' the UCH
Does any one know the correct pattern for 14. We know pattern is wrong but dont know which or if both is wrong
14 is an anagram and the 'L' should be 'M'
sorry, the anagram part is the last 3 letters.
Got it. 4,2. Thanks
Supply of food = board which boxes ( goes around ) u(niform) ch(eck)
I'm certainly warming to this crossword.
Sorry bobb, I wasn't ignoring you, yes boxes means surrounds.
Two answers beginning with BOUC. That can't happen very often
I didn't know Bouc was a goat. I thought the word was chevre, meaning goat, not specifically a female goat.
Matakari, I hope you're less distracted now - and all these answers should fill in much of the grid for you!

I only have one left today which is 2D
where i have FELO? Maybe the E is incorrect

Mighty old sore (5)

Any help greatly received

thanks inadvance

Johnpiper, your letters are correct. The word is fairly normal, usual - but I'd never known it to have that meaning. It's more commonly associated with bad people!
