On the coke thing I really am interested genuinely as it would have been helpful if I could have made my husband swallow coke when unconscious and wondered if there was a tip in case we needed it for future. If you don't want to ask her that's fine, I was just wondering

Just rang my daughter to see how Gary is now and asked her about the Coke, it seems he was coming round when they gave him it , he’d just done his insulin ba out a half hour before , she thinks that and the shock of his ripped finger might of brought on the hypo ,they’ve bandaged it and he’s back with the others now thankfully

PP My lovely late Mum had type 2 diabetes and was told to always carry sweets around with her in case of a hypo so she got some Werthers. It was MONTHS before we realised she had bought the sugar free kind. She did used to get the odd dizzy spell and if we were out shopping she'd say "ooo i feel dizzy I need a cream cake and coffee."
