But when you have a mentally ill woman in the next bed who keeps shouting ‘sausages’ at the top of her voice and flashing her nether regions! Going to be a long night.........not one person in this ward is sleeping , they’re all sat up glaring at her.

I did my bottom rib in playing rugby, the last match before the big freeze of the winter of 81/82 - and was it agony, the worst time of year as with Christmas and all the laughter....talk about painful! I still have a wee lump on my rib where the two halves joined back together but not perfectly....
I broke two of my mother's ribs when I was about 15. She was a large woman and I stood behind her, put my arms round her waist and lifted her a few inches.
I shouldn't have.
I don't understand this talk about broken ribs.
Are we assuming that her hospitalisation due to left sided lower abdominal pain had anything to do with her previous rib trauma?
What was the cause of her abdominal pain ?
