i must be the only parent in the world to be relieved from not having to watch sports day i reckon!

There was an article in our local paper last week about parents not being allowed to attend sports days at some schools...but ok at others. The same parents who are grouped outside waiting for their children every afternoon.

I went to Sports Day 2 weeks ago. All outside and seating was spaced approx 1m apart. I wore a mask.

It's confused. I was at a funeral a few weeks ago. Hundreds of people, no masks.

I doubt the school have capacity to check that everyone is double vaccinated or had a recent negative test :)

it is confused - i am going to a funeral next week and only 30 masked people allowed in the chapel. As many as you want at the graveside, without maks though

It's because although there no limits on numbers attending funerals anymore, there are still social distancing rules at the venues

Yes, it appears each rule have been made up by a different person. There is no joined up thinking.

There are rules in place for the football crowds. Its part of a trial at opening up.
Am sure the school could of found a way if it wanted to
