Why did England end up being such bad losers? Their arrogance and petulance in throwing off their medals was an appalling lack of respect in front of millions of viewers and fans alike. Southgate and his team were lacking in any dignity and also the art of taking penalty kicks.

Bobbs, it's Just-Jude, he doesn't mean it .....
Usual attempt at a wind-up.
No it's not Just -Jude who feels like this. I was disgusted when they started taking their medals off. What an example to the young of today..If you don't win then take your bat and ball in. Gareth Southgate has a load of spoilt brats on his hands.
I must admit, I thought removing the medals was very petulant. Some even removed them right in front of the guy who had put it around their neck which was very bad manners.
I said as much to my son when I was watching the game.
Oh sorry, I didn't watch the match and just assumed JJ was doing his usual wind up. I agree, taking off the medals was rather petulant and I don't really get the point of it .. !
It's not petulance, it's disappointment - they don't want "just" a silver medal. Some Man City players did the same at the Champions League final, though their manager kept his on & kissed it, much to the astonishment of some.
They could hardly smile and kiss the runners-up medals when the fans were so disappointed. Perhaps by taking them off, they were showing the fans that they, the players, were just as disappointed. Just a thought?
Gareth Southgate kept his medal on. Harry Kane removed his soon after receiving it. The whole spectacle disintegrated to some players removing theirs the minute they were giving it. These players win or not ,should be showing an example to young sports people . A bunch of divas .
By the way, JJ, i didn't see any of the players "throwing' their medals off.
I suppose they could have tried a bit harder and the problem wouldn't have been there.
