Just to clarify some AB misinformation, there are ample studies now to show that the wearing of medical and non-medical masks reduce the transmission of Covid and other droplet infections. This I association with space, trace and vaccination reduces the spread of this disease. Whether you believe it or not is up to you.
I've travelled by tube in London on the last couple of days and found maybe 30% of the passengers in my carrages not wearing one even though they're supposed to be compulsory and stay that way after July 19. I shall continue to wear mine indoors but not outdoors unless it's crowded. I've had two jabs but I am old and a bit vulnerable, and case numbers are on the up; I don't want to be among them
I read your link Buenchico and wasn't surprised just over half said will continue wearing and just under half said won't be wearing. It's amzing now it has split the country, I won't be where I don't have to but if shops insist then I will, though it takes away our freedom of choice. As one person in the link said 'we must respect other people's choices', that's going to be the hard bit for some.
I definitely will NOT be wearing one. They serve no purpose. Infections are rising rapidly, so facemasks don't do anything. They never have. But if people think that masks are any good, then wear one. However, July 19th is only the start of parole. Come September, State Control will resume.

Tesco will only ask customers to wear one. Besides, since facemasks became compulsory, lots of shops and other facilities have been acting as though they're the police. The police enforce the law in this country, not security staff.
Clarion.......the reason that we are heading for another spike is that the vaccine is not 100% effective, one third of the population has not been vaccinated and the compliance ofthe public is unsatisfactory (in my opinion ).
Not to mention keeping our fingers crossed that another virulent variant doesn't present itself.
