i have just watch closer and need your help. films are my thing but at the end of closer i had no idea what happened. can someone please tell me. she went back to america but what was the sign on the wall jude laws character saw. just dont get it......

The sign was of the name of whatshernames character... argh! The one that was in Star Wars... anyway, she fabricated her identity do her entire life with Jude's character was based on a lie.

If you remember they went through that park at the beginnning of the film when Jude was telling her about his childhood and his father.

When Alice (the character name) told Clive Owen's character that her name was Jane Jones she was telling the truth. You see on her passport when she goes back to America that she is Jane Jones and not Alice Ayers
