Would it be ok to use plain flour in place of almond flour? A recipe book I've been looking through has almond flour mentioned quite a few times.

Almond flour is often used because it's both low carb, and gluten free. As far as I know, you should be able to substitute ordinary flour. The amounts should be the same.

Thanks for that pasta.
Almond flour has a high fat content, if you use plain flour add extra fat to the recipe. About 1oz to every 8 is of flour. But it won't taste the same, not will it have the same texture
That's mentioned in the link I provided.
Sorry pasta, didn't see the link
I meant to say it may also depend on why almond flour is used in the first place.
No problem Rowan x
I use polenta instead of almond flour, just up the liquid content.
I've used polenta too. But I never bake anymore...
I try not to now there is only me to eat the result.
If it's for marzipan, then ordinary flour won't cut the mustard.
