All restrictions haven't been lifted. Some stores are still insisting on masks being worn and keeping social distances and there is continuous talk of another lockdown by the autumn. A lot of youngsters still don't want the vaccine despite being threatened with passports to enter nightclubs if they don't have it and on it goes ....

Protesting happens. It's a hobby for alot of people. A nice day out with like minded individuals.

What people don't take on board is that the virus is as present now as it's ever been, and as regards the war against it, we're in it for the long haul (just like in 1939) and unless the anti-vaxers and the anti-restrictions folk don't knuckle down and pull their weight instead of acting like Quislings, the consequences will be extremely severe.

Free Dumb Day seems most appropriate in the circumstances, as the "Freedom" label so widely applied to great fanfares has given all the blinkered ostriches false hope of an early return to normal which won't happen for a year or two yet.
