White Towels turned light Blue/grey

Hi
I made a boo boo yesterday and didnt check that my washing machine was emptied by my older brother. The thing is I put a boiled wash in - fluffy white towels which have turned a light blue/grey colour. Is there anyway we can get them back to their original state?
I will of course replace them if I cant do anything with them. I was so mad at my brother for leaving his sock in the machine - but it was my fault also for not checking it properly!

There is a product called Colour Run that you can get. Most supermarkets sell it or somewhere like Savers/Superdrug. It`s usually by the washing powders etc.

There's quite a few treatments out there now. 'Colour Catcher' is another one.

Worst case scenario is that you have to dye all your towels blue/grey and then get a new bathroom suite fitted to match your towel set. Probably not the cheapest option though...

I've got a brown top with a white vest bit under it. And the brown ran into the white, would that colour run work for that beejaybee?

it might take the brown out too and leave it a bit of an orange colour. I tried that before. The colour run is usually best for all one colour or mainly white items.

Net whitener is also a good thing to use on restoring your whites, I also use Fairy Snow, washing powder which is only for whites, it got baby grows sparkling after some nice orange coloured dinners!

hey spurslady. Thanks for the recommendation about Fairy Snow. My hubby wears white overalls for work & I`ve been buying a stain remover that you add to the tub & it`s not brill. Will put Fairy Snow on my list.
