Caravans And Caravan Hols
49 Answers
There was a chap being interviewed on GMB this morning who hates caravans and says they're an eyesore and get in his way when driving his £70k Jag! He came across as quite arrogant and snobby.
I've stayed in a couple of parks in the bigger static caravans but I don't like the small transportable ones as I find them claustrophobic.
Do you agree with him or do you like caravaning holidays? He's a broadcaster called Barry something, can't remember his surname.

Great holidays for kids because they soon make friends on a campsite and have a really good time. Our son got to see so much of the UK over the ten years we had the van and we loved the freedom it gave us. Can't stand static caravans with all mod cons. Might as well stay at home. We did have a portable loo though - so no trips out in the night. Lovely cheap holidays with a sense of adventure, which I now miss. :-/
We had a few static caravan holidays then bought our own motorhome. We loved it, did lots of holidays in England then took it abroad every year. We travelled for about 8 years in it then it got a bit too much for OH. It was quite a large motorhome. So reluctantly we had to give it up. Sold it to a couple of ladies half a mile away so still see our beloved hobby occasionally.
