Recurring Dreams

Random or meaningful?
I have recurring dreams of been either shot in the back (and dying)
Or threatened to be shot in the front (and waking up)
Obviously I wake up either way,
But these dreams are unnerving...

A recurring theme I have had countless times over decades is watching a low flying plane either tip up or actually fall to the ground, I experience the sick horror you would if watching that in real life. Either that or I'm actually in a low flying plane (say 50m above ground) and very scared.
I also regularly dream of rock pools, ponds or aquariums full of really odd brightly coloured fish and aquatic creatures. Those dreams are interesting.

Ken, you say your dream makes no sense whatever - but I don't bet, and I never dream about betting. So your dream doesmake some sense. Why frogs I don't know, and yet they're clearly standing in for horses.
There was someone on AB yonks ago who occasionally explained other ABers' dreams for them and they generally thought he/she was onto something, telling them things about themselves they hadn't realised. There are some interpretations that seem to work for most people - eg a house frequently symbolises your body.

2 dreams:
1. I'm retired but I still go to work. The people at work don't seem to know that I'm supposed to be retired. I just get my pension not my normal salary but I comfort myself with the thought that I can quit anytime.
2. Awkward access - I have to pass through some constricted access to get where I want to go & it gets tighter & tighter. I'm afraid of being trapped. Or a big building where it's almost impossible to figure out how to get from one part to another.

Jno, giant frogs with jockeys on board? Punters handing over trifle in the hope of winning multi coloured balloons? Yeah, makes perfect sense.
From wicki; "Many endorse the Freudian theory of dreams - that dreams reveal insight into sexual desires and emotions. Other prominent theories include those suggesting that dreams assist in memory formation, problem solving, or simply are a product of random brain activation." I'm in the latter camp.
