Frizzets
8 Answers
Does anyone remember Frizzets? Can't remember who made them.It was a packet mix which you made up with water/milk and then dropped spoonfuls into a frypan like a pancake but there was some flavour in there.Sooooooo delicious,I loved them when I was a kid.Trying to lose some weight at the moment so shouldn't even be thinking about things like that! Would love to try them again though.

My mum used to make them for breakfast accompanied with bacon and baked beans. This was our 'cowboy breakfast'. They were scrumptious, but every time I've mentioned the name over the years eyes glaze over, so it's a special treat to have someone who actually knows what they were. I believe Green's made them, or a similar company, but now like Symingtons Table Creams etc or Jelly Cream - gone forever.
Nice to know someone else remembers them.As you say a real treat for breakfast when I was a kid. I have never met anyone who knows about them so maybe they were a Midlands thing (live down South now but originally a Brummie)I loved Symingtons Jelly Creams too but as you say gone forever.........................x
My partner was cooking this evening, the smell of stir frying chopped celery unlocked the memory of Frizzets. I can remember my mom including them in a fried breakfast when I was a lad in the early 60's. So I did a search and found this thread. Pleased that I can validate my memories. Very yummy, I miss them.
