After my bout with Covid a couple of weeks ago I have lost most of my sense of taste and smell. Apparently this is because the virus attacks those nerves. So I am wondering if taking Vit B would help. I was told to take it when I damaged the nerve in my hand when I stuck a knife through it tring to remove an avocado stone. It seemed to help. Any thoughts ?

Sorry .....no.....there is no reliable evidence to show that any ofthe VitB complexes or indeed ANY Vit supplements have any part to play in nerve recovery following viral infections.

Thanks Sqad. Oh well, apparently 98% of people recover this within 28 days. So should see a big improvement this week. My adored white wine tastes like gasoline at the moment. Or what I imagine gasoline tastes like. V&T is ok though.
My taste and smell came back after a few short weeks.
I can't take any vits, my ankles swell (I kid you not)
