Why Could I Have Blood In My Stool

As embarrassed I am to talk about thus but I've been having blood in my stool for over a month so I don't know If I should be concerned. Could it be due to unhealthy diet?

It could be a number of things, some trivial, some serious. You need to make an appointment with your GP for an examination to put your mind a rest. Don't be embarrassed, your GP deals with these things, and worse, on a daily basis, he or she will not be at all bothered by examining you, so try not to worry, and make an appointment.

As others have said, it could be serious but, equally (and possibly more likely), it might be something very minor. You most definitely DO need to contact your GP as soon as possible though.

It is likely to be a combination of things, but the most important this is that you go to your GP tomorrow and insist you get checked out and referred for an urgent colonoscopy. This will give you instant results and rule out anything sinister. Please do it, I'm not being overdramatic, it could save your life.
