Spectacle Cords

I have been using the above and now are broken but another are on the way from Ebay.

However, I have one concern about them as a whole, when they are on (I have short hair) - I find them a little irritating in that the cord brushes against my face pretty periodically and frankly annoy me. Anything else out there to hold glasses in place.

Seriously, just place the cord behind your ears and it won't irritate your face.

I do that Tilly but they manage round the pretty face. Think I was annoying sister on Sunday as I fiddled about with them so much - she told me to take them off but I can't take them off as I put them down everywhere as I do only use them to lip-read, television, driving. Other than that ie cleaning, dusting, painting, making beds - I don't wear them hence I put them everywhere and have lost quite a few never to be found.

Would something like this be better? They slip onto the end of the arm, so when the glasses are in use, the are always behind your head.
