Maybe Veterinary medicines and procedures should be used more.

Castration solves the problem of males who have many kids to different women.

Spaying of females will prevent her churning out lots of kids from different fathers.

There are lots of drugs that are used for both animal and human usage. So it's not that idiotic as it first seems. In fact one of these drugs was being used in drug trials for Covid earlier this year.
