Is there an alternative to fluorescent under counter lighting? I'm getting fed up with changing the strip lights every six months or so.

I guess you mean under the wall units, melv?

Lots of the "tube" lamps around are cheap and nasty. They're just filament lamps. Proper fluorescents normally have a good long life span.

As I'm often saying on here - go for LEDs. Try here............

Yes, I meant under the wall units. There's no room for spots, so I'll have a look for some better quality strip lights. Thanks for your reply.
ledhut do led strip lights as well, see here http://www.ledhut.co.uk/5-meter-smd-led-strip-light-60-led-s-per-meter-warm-white-best-price-on-the-internet-237.html not saying that is exactly what you need but I've always found them helpful on the phone
I got a strip of led lights from Lidl, complete with plug, and fixed that under my cupboards. Works really well but the adhesive back of these lights is notorious for giving up. My solution has been to hook it through white cup hooks. Anti-fashion, that's me.
Is changing light bulbs every 6 months that difficult?
they are blooming expensive B00!
