There's a bit more to Scotland than people Tora.... pretty big chunk of our land, some very old British industries, resources... and of course the trifling matter of our shared heritage and culture as a union for which you and naomi care absolutely nothing.

The UK is not a spreadsheet and while the English are a majority we cannot just arrogantly dismiss the minority nations and simultaneously claim to care about the UK... if you do the first one then by definition you are not doing the second. If Scotland goes then it would be very very silly indeed to keeping calling our Kingdom "United" with a great big Scotland-shaped hole in it!!

Toratoratora also considers northern ireland "a thorn in the side"... I expect he would be happy to see them go too, and there's a chance they might in the near future.

What does that leave us with... the "United Kingdom" of... England & Wales... how silly and deluded it would be to keep calling ourselves the UK!

I would like Scotland to be independent, but given the state of the world at present, I think that we need to find a solution to the wars before we visit the issue again.

Nobody knows what the future will hold - Nicola is currently buying votes with her scheming. Boris looks as if he is about to have a major meltdown. Hopefully Larry the cat will take over.

We live in the NE of Scotland in a small hamlet of 7 houses of which 5 are occupied by English people each and everyone have said they absolutely love Scotland and would travel far and wide to meet so friendly and welcoming people as the Scots. One of the children came to my door and said” why are Scottish people so nice?” Only 9 years old.
