How do you get rid of the mist/white residue that appears on drinking glasses when they have been washed loads in the dishwasher?

hi Lolly

you can't... it's probably tiny scratches from the detergent, not residue. The only way to get rid of scratches in glass is to grind and polish them out.

Oh, how disappointing - thank you "elpea" anyway.

try jet dry
Try denture tablets, place one in the glass and top up with warm/hot water and leave to disolve and work, should bring up the shine. Only tried this on vases.
i use the five in one tablets but top up the rinse agent and put it on it's lowest setting. works for me.
