They have caused chaos for long enough and compared to what's going on in Afghanistan, they just look like spoilt middle class brats. Why can't the police move them by force if nessasary?

It's no wonder the police force ignore Extinction Rebellion- they're a bit busy taking the knee and being the poster boys for other important causes... Actually catching criminals and keeping law and order has taken a back seat now they're the Woke Constabulary.

The police go by the letter of the law in that ER are allowed to demonstrate. They are soft but should be imaginative and prosecute them for things they do wrong.

I also believe in the right to peaceful protest, but this lot are far from peaceful and they are so extreme that they stop ambulances etc. getting through their 'demos'. If someone glues themselves to a van and slides it across the road - get into the van and move it away - adherent protestor or not, and let him/her wait there until everything is over and there is time to unglue them. They'd soon get fed-up.
