B&Q Worktop

Apologies if I've asked this before, I can't remember as I've been after this for a long time.
I have seen a worktop on the B&Q website that I would like to buy, but it says the item cannot be delivered.
I phoned them about this ages ago and was told that not all their items can be delivered and that was that. No other explanation.
As it is too big to fit into my car or anybody else's car that I know of, I don't know what to do.
Just wondered if anyone might have a suggestion.

B&Q usually have a panel saw setup so, you may be able to get them to cut it to the size you want on site then the pieces may be more manageable, I assume it's a 3 metre length to start with.

You did ask before and said you'd check to see if you could get in your car with the back seat down and the front seat reclined (passenger, not driver)

Just looked at previous answers from when I posted last time and since then I've found out that my car and my daughters cars are not big enough. I did ask my son-in- law but he never got round to measuring his car, will ask him again.
This is the only one I've found that is 2400mm long, others seem to be 3000 and I don't want any cut off as that means messing about with edging tape.
Didn't want to hire man and a van in case they damage it and are not insured even though they may say they are.
I might go back to what I thought about previously and go to B&Q to look at it and check they don't deliver and see if they can suggest something. perhaps a company they recommend for deliveries.

JJ I tend to give them to those who make me laugh, and that video certainly did that.
Did you get the suite you were after?

You say you don't want to mess with edging tape - who does? but are you sure the ends are laminated anyway? Very often they are not.

barry I don't know for sure but I would imagine if the sizes are as stated, then they would be.
I won't know until I go to see it.

Just phoned B&Q and surprise surprise, they do deliver!
Just haven't got round to changing their website.

Barsel - when upholsterer is not so busy - I am getting one made. He saw the picture I had and he can do something like it you know - with the puff arms. A very nice man he was too - very personable. (It is a wee private concern) not a big shop etc.

I hope to go for green fabric (nice green mind you) - so it will take ages to make but I will be noseying around for nice cushions and nice mat too. I'll be happy to have it all done for Xmas if I'm lucky.

Green suites are fashionable, I saw some lovely ones when I was looking for mine, but I was looking for black leather.
If you are looking for cushions, gold looks lovely with green.

yes I know Barsel - my sister has the most beautiful cushions ever - has them a while and I did buy one of them for her - like fine mole hair but all gold. If I can I'll get one of those. I do have a good lot of time to look for things - but mind you - I don't enjoy retail therapy.

Barsel - why I went for green is that I have had every other colour imaginable in suites. So this will be a wee change. Anyway green is my very favourite colour.
