Weird Computer 'Cloning' Question.

I have 2 Dell Precision M6800 laptops.

they have both been mostly great but last year or 2 they have both occasionally gone laggy, sluggish & the audio is scratchy, fuzzy - lots of weird noises & impossible to have on
the laptop becomes almost unusuable normally - everything takes ages - not just the internet.

sometimes after a few days they go ok, with very little assitance from me, sometimes, i need to do maintenance.

ive tried updates, drivers, clean ups, error checking, system restore, system refresh etc

once they both went weird on the same day ... which made me think it was caused by an automatic update or something, but how can that cause this then just be ok?

problem now is, one is working well, the other isnt.
I spent a while goign thru the dell site downloading updates, driver etc etc, & i tried to do the same to both of them
but now ive got confused at what worked & what didnt etc etc

is there a way to 'clone' a computers settings etc & put it on another?
could i kind of copy the good set up?

if not, get full & total details of the working computer, so i can compare it with the other one & try to match them?

i fairly good with computers so open to trying anything

You can clone one disk drive to another using Macrium Reflect Free;

However, in your situation, I'd be tempted to simply back everything up and reinstall Windows.

thanks buen, ill look into those options.

i did a PC refresh, in both laptops, which removed a lot of settings etc, but left my stuff & some basic settings, but its been like this since then, but the other went ok.
all my stuff is no my D drive - only windows is on C drive, so i could easily do a complete reinstall - its just whether i end up needing to do tonnes of updating etc & end up in the same situation.
