Get it installed when he's out - add some price labels to the racks and tell him you've started a business.

Gotta appeal to their self interest if it's not an area where you can lead them by the bits.
Sqad // Now you ask.....with me.......a short see-through nightie with underlying simple satin bra and knickers, an early night, perfume and bedside lights on, would do the trick.//

That's you sorted...now what would Mrs Sqad wear? :-)
Just how deep are those stairs?
No temperature control is mentioned on that website - and there is champagne and red wine stored, so just not possible.
I would say around 90cm max. for the depth Barry. Someone has commissioned this from wineworks who had no idea how to store wine. Wine with corks need to be stored on their side in the dark at a cool temperature. Screwtop wines need to be kept upright and are not meant to be kept for long periods of time. Very nicely made however, but total showboating.
No temperature control Barry.
I agree, APG. Would prefer to see a record or book collection but I certainly could not stand inside that space and bend down :D
I would have mine full of my collectons of Crystals and Rock samples, they would look lovely.
They would, APG! Do it :)
Wine racks are very hard to keep stocked and lead to drinking a lot.

Shelves are more practical.
Like Barry, I'd store books there. Probably a lot cheaper to have a good carpenter build it.
