 Do any of you experts out there remember a Childrens book titled " Boo the boy who was scared of the dark".  Back in the 50s I won it in a competition and have been searching for a copy ever since. To no avail.

I've often had better luck getting hold of out-of-print titles by using the US Amazon site (www.amazon.com) rather than the UK one (www.amazon.co.uk).

The US site currently has quite a few on offer from $9.99 through to $297(!!) - the copy at $25 looks to be the best value to me. The UK site only has one of the US-shipped copies listed (at �16.99).

There's no customs duty to pay on 2nd hand books (I've previously phoned HMC&E to check this) and postage costs aren't usually prohibitive.

you could also try abebooks.com. They act for world wide book sellers and are very good

Try having a day out in Hay-on-Wye, the town is a mecca for second-hand book lovers
