Not sure what this has got to do with parenting..........but anyhooooooooos!
I presume you've got long hair? The obvious solutions would be to either get it cut so it's too short for you to put in your mouth, or put it in a bun so it's out of reach.
Other than wearing a balaclava 24/7 I really can't thing of anything else- good luck!
I used to do this when i was little until my nan told me that when you do this it gets wrapped round in your stomach and can make you really ill or worse,,,,,,,,,,,!
i didnt mean to put it in parenting!!!in the colder months i may resort to the suggested 'balaclava' approch!!but my hair also falls out at the back quite regulaly (i now sound like a bald hair eating freak!!!~)so tying it up really doesnt mak much differance
I think you need to look at why you're doing it missmay - is it a comfort thing? Do you do it when you are stressed out? If so, then maybe you need to address those things first and try and find another way of dealing with problems/stress or something that takes your mind off it.

Please take advice from a counsellor or similar on how to stop this habit. Your GP might be able to advise you on where to seek help. A young lady I know was taken seriously ill and had to have a major operation in her teens due to a hairball being lodged in her intestines. It had built up from years of hair eating. Electricblue's grandmother was not wrong.
I don't wish to frighten you, just to advise you to take steps to stop this habit as soon as possible.
