If your tape-measure isnt long enough you could use a piece of string and bluetack it at one end, then measure the string in stages.
Measuring the floor will be easier but beware it depends on what your measuring for. I measured a wall at worktop height only for the kitchen fitter to find it was 5cm longer at the ceiling because the walls werent verticle. So maybe measure at 2 different height's

just joking - measure it in sections with pencil or chalk marks.
