It seems that members of the Government delight in putting out conflicting messages re the petrol "shortage".
"It's all Ok."
"It's easing."
"It will get worse."
"It will last for months."
"All be over by Christmas (has a historic ring to it)"

Personally I think the media have a lot to answer for although the Government should watch how it words things in the future. Telling people not ot panic and keep a 1/4 tank will cause, well panic. And as Bobb says, its the bog roll mentality.
