Getting A Bus In London
10 Answers
For the first time in over a decade - can we still pay cash?
Also will be arriving at Tottenham Hale and travelling to Muswell Hill Broadway anyone know what bus to get?
When I lived there you used to be able to get a bus from TH to Turnpike lane and then one onto MHB - any help out there?
Cheers

You can't use cash at all, -it's all cards, Oyster, contactless bank cards and so on. You tap/swipe the machine beside the driver as you get on, and unlike on the Tube, you don't have to do anything when you get off. Fares are capped - on a recent trip to London, I took three buses in one day, and it cost me around £4.75 in total.

Bus 230 to Turnpike Lane and a 144 from there, helen. If you fancy a trip on the tube, take the southbound Victoria Line from Tottenham Hale to Finsbury Park and bus W7 from there. It would scarcely be any quicker, though.
If you take the bus it will cost you £1.55. You can take any number of bus journeys for that price, provided you touch in to them within an hour.
