When I had ordinary Sky+ I was able to record Sky programmes and many other programmes and they always had subtitles.

Since changing to SkyQ - I can't believe the same programmes are not subtitled (but the subtitles are turned on).

Anybody know. Thanks

Is this a recent thing and is it Channel 4 and Channel 5 programmes that you are having the problem with?
If so, it is nothing to do with SkyQ and is caused by a fire sprinklers going off in a building that C4 and C5 use over a week ago
Something seems to have happened to our SkyQ box in the subtitles department too.

We have to go into the settings menu now to turn them on and off instead of using the button on the remote.
I was going to phone them about it but decided I didn't want an international conversation.

no Barry - douglas is saying the same thing as myself.
Use the voice option on your remote - just press and hold and say "Subtitles On" - works better than settings.

Dave the subtitles are always on in settings - so speaking wouldn't work in this instance. Even when you look in settings - subtitles are on.

There's a Sky guy who works over in the mall - I'm going to ask him when next I see him

thanks Barry for that info - later on I will try that out.

I;m not impressed with SkyQ at all - far too much faffing about - you don't know where you are. I have it quite a while and am still learning every day. Should have stayed with Sky+ and my firestick.
