Hello, I was under the impression that I no longer have to go to a COVID testing station (at my hospital) before a scan & I did the test myself at home, https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/testing-for-coronavirus-before-hospital/testing-for-covid-19-before-a-hospital-procedure but today I've had a letter telling me that I will have to go to a testing station - is this correct? I am only having an internal scan.

Each hospital (or, more accurately, each hospital trust) will have its own rules. I needed to have a PCR test at my local hospital before my minor urology op last month.

NHS has it's own guidance separate from govt. It is down to the individual hospitals what they ask you to do in preparation.
