Banning it won't stop it - no more than having a minimum age for marriage stops underage marriage. Ingrained culture is not so easy to change and neither is backward thinking.
I'm afraid that, along with other practices we see as unfit in the West, this will never change.

And yes SP, agree entirely on the nonsense conversion therapy. But how does one stop the disgusting practices?
