My bank is closed with a negative balance, will direct deposit is still able to go through?

Contact your bank! It will get rejected by the bank's computer and then the bank will determine what they will do with the money sent. A lot of different things could happen, depending on why the account was closed, how much you owe, whether the bank had written off the debit balance or whether they are in the process of recovering the debt from you. Contact your bank! It will get rejected by the bank's computer and then the bank will determine what they will do with the money sent.

A lot of different things could happen, depending on why the account was closed, how much you owe, whether the bank had written off the debit balance or whether they are in the process of recovering the debt from you.

They may or may not want to reopen your account. They may use the monies to repay your debt and send you the balnce if any, or they may simply return the entire credit to where it came from.

You need to contact them and sort the matter out. No one here can advise you as so many different scenarios could occur.
