When you hear a song what do you listen to first? The words or the melody?

I always listen to the melody and very often ignore the words when I can't figure them out.

I rarely really hear the words in a song. It's the melody that matters far more for me, which is probably why I seem to be able to enjoy world music far more than those people who say that it doesn't do anything for them because they can't understand the lyrics.
