when reading this article i was thinking is this story made up, are there really people like the guy in the article out there in the real world, how does he manage in public spaces.. petrified of men..really or his personal space...

Cisgender is "identifying"- and nobody knows what that means- as the sex you are.

I have no problem being called cis-gender by anyone -I've been called worse :-) 50 years ago we had 'Queer' and 'Normal', not in any offensive way. Now everyone seems to need justification by giving themselves and others a label.

It seems to me that Peter Fray-Witzer is a man by transition, hence his description of men who have never had any issues on that score as cis-men. I imagine he has had his fair share of unpleasantness at the hands of those cis-men and so wishes to either avoid them, if the decision is his, or have more notice/options, etc., when the decision isn't.

Actually.... that's a guide and not proof, sparkly. Intersex people may not. If you are a father or have had a dna test, that's "proof".
