What is the likely sentence for crashing a car whilst disqualified from driving 2 days prior?

Driving whilst disqualified is a �summary� offence (that is it can only be heard by magistrates). Accordingly the maximum sentence is six months in prison.

Magistrates� sentencing guidelines suggest that the �starting point� when sentencing (that is for a first-time offender with no aggravating or mitigating circumstances) is a community penalty.

The fact that there was a crash aggravates the offence quite seriously and even more so if there were any injuries to third parties. The relatively short period between being disqualified and committing the offence will also not go down too well. The Bench may well decide that the threshold for custody has been passed and may consider a term of incarceration.

dont mean to be rude but if you had said that you were enquiring on behalf of someone or explained in more detail then you wouldnt have had to take the answers personally.
im sorry that you had your car damaged by this idiot and i think you probably agree with most of the answers given anyway. to sit behind the wheel of any vehicle 2 days after getting banned then yes i do hope he gets sent to prison. people like him makes my blood boil !!

I find it strange you asking for someone who smashed into your car!!! i believe it was you who actually commited the above offence and as all the other sensible answers off the Judge and Norman etc who always give valuable advice you deserve what you get.
