Heard him talking on radio 4 and he's voice sounds very odd now as if he had a big plum in his mouth but I suppose he is 79. But I heard a clip of this song they sang on Ed Sullivan show in 1964 and it reminded me what a great voice he had back in the day.

I think he's damaged his voice with too much screaming back in the day. It catches up with you later, like a lot of things you do when you're young.
