Been watching this from the start and many of the top 30 selling songs each year up to 73 I've never heard before. However, when they show some of the songs that missed being in the top 30 are ones I recognise instantly.

What songs do you know of that didn't have a great impact on the charts when released but are instantly recognisable now?

several instances of Gary Glitter which kinda glossed over. yes he became a complete sleazeball, but he was a tremendous showman and very popular at the time.
