We have tickets for this in Bristol tomorrow, also a hotel booked, all from daughter & co. From two years ago. Daughter spent .4 hours here last night trying to sort out the rulings and requirements for covid. We have to have a covid pass. She spent ages with phones, laptops and iPads trying to sort it.
The number of forms to be filled in was horrendous. Also for the hotel room which was just as bad.
Also getting there was a nightmare. Bristol is horrendous for parking, so she was going to pick us up and drive there, granddaughter coming to, to help at the hotel where we want to drop the bags, can't checkin until 2.30, but have to be at the theatre by 1.30. Then walk down to theatre and hope all passes and paperwork will let us in. After the show walk back to hotel. Grand son picking us up at 12.00 next day.
We had so much difficulty with all the rules and forms, I said can we cancel it please. Also the theatre doesn't have a lift and there are nearly 50 steps to climb. We cannot cope with that either.
It's such a shame as so looking forward to it, but the sense of relief when we cancelled was wonderful.
We also have tickets for the Strictly Tour in Birmingham in January. I pursuadeed her to cancel this as well.
We are going to the good food show in Birmingham next weekend , that is daughter, me and two granddaughters. I'll take my mobility scooter but I am worried about the covid rules here too. She is going to see if she can sort this out in time.
Why is life so difficult!!!!

There's a block of 8 seats side by side still available in the stalls at the Bristol Hippodrome tomorrow, as well as a pair of seats together. (Those tickets are priced at £56.15). There are no access problems in the stalls.
I saw one of the Riverdance spin-off shows (Spirit of the Dance) in Lowestoft twenty-something years ago. I wasn't particularly expecting to enjoy it much but it was just somewhere to go for a day out. I took my friends son, who was a young teenager then, and I was even less certain that he'd enjoy it. However we both found it to be really enjoyable.

Chris you really are a star, you do so much work for everyone, it's really appreciated.
In my view the reason for cancellation was more the covid paperwork and aggro that came with it. We still haven't printed out the passes so couldn't go anyway.
When the access problem rose I was glad it gave me another reason not to go.
