Billy Connolly/Columbo.

I was watching Columbo last night and the guest star was Billy Connolly. I thought the name somewhat familiar, I then realized that he is a well known British comedian who I have heard mentioned of on this site Anyway, he played a very good role as a murderous music conductor and he also managed to get a few humerus lines in.

crude at times, but often hilarious, i have loved him ever since he stepped on the stage on the Michael Parkinson show and i haven't changed my mind in all those years.

I've never been a fan of Billy.
But I did enjoy watching his American road trips, probably for the scenery.

he is an excellent presenter, his road trips are very entertaining and informative.

especially the ones on Scotland, his homeland.

I loved him in Gentlemen's Relish, he is a good actor and very fussy about the parts he accepts.
He has had me in stitches many times

Columbo was like the Extras of it's day, all manner of stars appeared, usually as the murderer.

I love Columbo and can watch it over and over again ! I never liked the ones with Connolly in though and usually give them a swerve. One of my favourites was when George Hamilton appeared.

I too went of Connolly after the Ken Bigley comment - poor Ken.

Jack Cassidy and Robert Culp each had three appearances as killers. Patrick McGoohan played a Columbo murderer more times than any other actor – four times.
